I believe success is not something to be chased for. It is something that comes when someone is dedicated to their work and does not give up in the long run. So, every recognition I’ve received is more than just an award—for me, it’s a reminder and motivation to move forward with gratitude.
In 2024, the Environment and Sustainability Research Initiative (ESRI) - which I call as my learning school of research—honored me with the Best Research Lead Award for guiding a large team toward meaningful impact. The year before, I received the Best Researcher Award, which reinforced my belief that dedication to curiosity and persistence can truly move the needle in sustainability research.
The prestigious National Science and Technology (NST) Fellowship (2023–2024), awarded by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Bangladesh, gave me a better chance to deepen my MSc research. Earlier, as an undergraduate student, I earned the UGC Merit Scholarship, which was awarded across multiple sessions for my academic excellence in my cohort.
Looking back further, the national scholarships I received during my Secondary (2014) and Junior (2011) examinations were the sparks that first lit my path. They taught me that even small beginnings can grow into meaningful journeys.
HOBBIES
Outside of academics, I’ve always believed in staying connected—with people, with nature, and with the causes that inspire me. I enjoy traveling to new places, meeting people from different walks of life, and embracing opportunities to learn and adapt.
Also, sports have been a big part of my journey. At Khulna University, I proudly played on the women’s volleyball team (2019–2022) and played for my department in the the interdisciplinary badminton tournament (2022), where teamwork and perseverance mattered just as much on the court as they do in research. I was also an active environmental activist of the Environmental Awareness Club (2018–2022), where I collaborated with peers to promote sustainability and environmental stewardship within and beyond campus. These activities deepened my understanding and knowledge of how small, collective actions can create meaningful impact.
My passion for community work led me to serve as a youth volunteer with LEAD Bangladesh (2021–2022), engaging in initiatives that gave young people a voice in shaping a better future. I also explored my creative side in event management as an executive member of KU Krishty (2019–2021), one of the university’s most vibrant cultural clubs, which taught me the value of art and culture in bringing people together.
