I'm very interested in publicising mathematics, in particular introducing high school students to the language and style of undergraduate maths. Here is a list of projects/talks I have been involved in.
Here is a list of popular talks given. These talks are aimed at middle- to high-school math enthusiasts.
From Right-angled Triangles to Algebraic Geometry: An Introduction to Elliptic Curves. August 2025, Guest Lecture for the EPYMT programme, Chinese University of Hong Kong. Slides.
Google, Gambling and Geese: Fun with Markov Chains. July 2025, Guest Lecture for the EPYMT programme, Chinese University of Hong Kong. Slides.
I ran a mini-course aimed at students above Secondary 3 (Year 9) interested in doing mathematics in University level in Summer 2023. The course is titled "Introduction to Group Theory" and is 3 lectures long. Lecture notes can be found here.
Lecture 0 (Pre-reading): Preliminaries.
Lecture 1: Basic definitions.
Lecture 2: Cyclic groups, Dihedral groups and Homomorphisms.
Lecture 3: Cosets and Lagrange's Theorem.
I have assisted as student helper at the Mathematics Open Days run by the Cambridge Maths Department multiple times.
From 2022-2025, I have mentored students wishing to apply to Oxbridge for mathematics under Access Abroad Hong Kong, offering help on their applications to universities and scholarships.
I have given mock Oxbridge supervisions to students interested in mathematics, again under programmes organised by Access Abroad Hong Kong.
