Graduation '24

May 10th, 2024 - Matt Phillips recently graduated with his M.S. Matt's thesis title was Population Dynamics and Demographics of Reintroduced Lake Sturgeon in the Coosa River, Georgia-Alabama. To top things off, Matt recently accepted a position as a Fisheries Biologist II with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. Congrats Matt!

New Publication

March 23rd, 2024 - The paper entitled, "Population demographics and angler exploitation of Suwannee Bass in two Georgia rivers" was published in the North American Journal of Fisheries Management.   

Senior Thesis Presentation

December 5th, 2023 - Brendan Amman gave his senior thesis presentation, entitled: "Investigating the source, dispersal, and recruitment of the Weather Loach using otolith microchemistry". Congrats to Brendan on doing a great job! 

MS Defense

November 9th, 2023 - Victoria Davis successfully defended her MS thesis, entitled: "Population dynamics and diet composition of introduced Blue Catfish in four Georgia Rivers." Thanks to Victoria's committee members: Tim Bonvechio, Dr. Pete Sakaris, and Dr. Pete Hazelton.
