About Me

I grew up in Dubuque, Iowa along the banks of the Mississippi River. I loved all things outdoors, which prompted me to pursue a career in managing natural resources. My partner, Erin, is also a faculty member at UGA and studies early childhood teacher planning time, curricula, and working conditions. We have two children, Amelia and June, and we love to spend time together outside.

Outside of work, I enjoy a variety of activities that I either pursue individually or with friends and family. I love sports and regularly play pickup basketball. Erin and I have run a couple marathons and enjoy staying active by hiking, biking, and swimming. I also enjoy fishing and hunting in my free time.
