Biography
Martin Sievert
I am an assistant professor at the Institute of Public Administration at Leiden University (Nethlerlands) and affiliated researcher at the chair of business administration, public & nonprofit management at the University of Mannheim (Germany).
I received my bachelor in socioeconomics and my master in public and nonprofit studies from the University of Hamburg (Germany).
I conduct research on various topics within the public management literature. Among others, this includes administrative burden, public sector recruitment, and person-environment misfit. Presently, my focus in on multiple projects about recruiting in public organizations.
My methods of choice include experiments (e.g., discrete choice experiment, vignette experiment, field experiment), qualitative approaches (e.g., Interviews), and the use of text corpora. As you will notice, it always depends on my research question.
