Back to school time often means following a new schedule or at least making a new plan. Yet have you noticed how plans have a funny way of changing? Every time I hear the saying "If you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans" it makes me smile too because I plan and things change. Good thing God knows the plan like he gently reminds us in
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Today let's take our plans to the Lord.
Loving God,
With grateful praise we thank you for the unique plan you have for each of us. We thank you for the education opportunities we are afforded in our country. We ask forgiveness when we value knowledge over faith in God and when we worship creation instead of the Creator. Today we place our plans, our morning routines, and beginnings in your hands as we lift up:
Preschool: Pray for feelings of safety and security when away from home. Ask God to comfort those who feel anxious and encourage everyone to explore the new world of learning.
Elementary: Pray for positive connections with teachers and teams. Pray they feel the challenge of learning something difficult and the joy of understanding. Bless them with the confidence to try new things.
Middle/High School: Pray that their journeys to each of their classes are brightened by God’s light. Give them opportunities to share His light and love with others.
College: Pray that God guides their thoughts to reveal His truths in each of their subjects. Be with each student as they ask questions and focus on understanding each class.
Teaching Professionals: Pray for the ability to build positive relationships both with students and peers. Pray that by building those relationships they are cultivating a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Amen.
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Joyfully,
The Staff

I hope all is well with all of you. I'm keeping a close eye on the weather. They are calling for rain Wednesday. A 50% chance. What I do not know at this point is what part of the day it could rain. I won't know that until Tuesday afternoon. Please pray that we can load Wednesday. Thursday is even worse. It is a 80% percent chance of rain. If we can load on Wednesday we will load all boxes for Thursday and Friday deliveries. If we cannot load Wednesday, we will push the loading to Monday at 4pm. Tuesday you will receive a final decision email concerning the day and time we will be loading boxes. The mission is to load 200 boxes. 140 on one truck and trailer and 60 on another truck and trailer. If parking is taken on the rocks along Bailey at our house I recommend you park in the upper elementary school parking lot that houses the Headstart trailer. - Bill
