Mission Trip

Glen Tucker will be going to Brazil July 16-27 for Church Construction, a Bible School, and Sports ministry.  Pray for the team as they go to spread God's message and minister to the people of Brazil.

Unidiversity Camp

Pray for our youth in camp this week.  

Flowers for the Sanctuary

If you would be willing to purchase a small arrangement of flowers to adorn our sanctuary for worship on Sunday mornings, please let me know in the office, 828-689-2911.  The cost is $10.00.  Tori Huerth and Isaac Justus are going to supply flowers

now through the first frost.  

Item needed for Vacation Bible School

We are in need of an old lattice panel/trellis to borrow for Bible School.  It will be returned after Bible School is finished.

Ignation Exercises

Sharon Welsch will be leading a group through Ignation exercises beginning in September.  The exercises offer a way to pray through the Gospel stories of Jesus in a fresh and meaningful way.  If you are interested, call Sharon Welsch at 828-776-6099 or the office.

Meals for the Mountains

We are collecting food boxes for needy families in our area.  I am including a list of things needed for each box.

A large jar of peanut butter A large jar of jelly A bag of rice

4 lbs. of sugar 5 lbs. of flour Vegetable oil

Condiments: mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise, salt/pepper, garlic salt

Dish washing detergent, laundry detergent, soap, shampoo

Someone has reached out to me about finding a 1-2 bedroom apartment, house, etc. to rent for their son who has accepted a position at Mars Hill University for the fall.  You can call me here in the office or call Sherry Shanklin at 731-446-4688.
