Grade Goals Breakdown

This course is all about improving as critical thinkers and using quantitative reasoning. And you are in control of your grade!

To determine your Grade Goal, decide which letter grade you'd like to strive for this semester. There is no judgement here. If all you want is a C, then that is okay. However, if you want that A, then go for it - I know you can do it!

Find your letter grade in the chart below to determine how many of each assignment type you need to complete.

See the tracking sheet below this to see all the assignments for the semester. There is a link below where you can make a copy of this Google Sheet so you can keep track throughout the semester.

If you are going for an "A" in the class, you will have a grade of "Accomplished" on:

If you are going for a "B" in the class, you will have a grade of "Accomplished" on:

If you are going for a "C" in the class, you will have a grade of "Accomplished" on:

Important Note

All items on the list for a Grade Goal must be completed in order to earn that grade. Failure to complete any of the required Grade Goal items will mean an automatic deduction to the lower grade. Grade Goals are the minimum you need to complete with a “pass” for the desired grade. For example, if your desired grade goal is a C, and you fail to resubmit a Prep or Checkpoint Assignment or Unit Project for a “pass,” the grade earned in the course will be a D.
