The year is 2112, 18 months before the colonization of Mars. Tasked with overseeing the construction of the colony, the Astronaut has been living alone on the surface of Mars for the past 6 months. Surrounded by small army of terra-forming robots and with only limited contact to Earth, how might the Astronaut adapt their situation? How might they change their surroundings, and the objects in their surroundings, to suit their needs?
In answering these questions we hope to illuminate the challenges and possibilities of humanity’s quest to survive and thrive in new environments.
