SITE SERVICES

Build Team

To be on site from 25th May to aid in the construction and build of the event. Various duties entail.

Car Parking and Traffic

To manage the traffic flow specifically during arrivals and departures. Ensure the Car Park is set out and runs effectivley. Manage movement of vechiles on site if need be.

Security

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of members taking part in the event, ensuring no unauthorised people access the event field.

Waste, reycling and litter

To manage the gathering and disposal of all litter on site throughout the event.

Driver

To drive a Luton Van across the event, moving equiptment and stock as requested. Needs to be available from 25th to 31st May.

Take Down Team

To be on site from 25th May to aid in the packing down and removal of items from the site.

ENTERTAINMENT

Stage Performance Team

The Onstage Performing team will be responsible for performing party dances, games, and keeping the atmosphere up during the evening entertainment. Members may also need to assist with the Talent Competition. Members should be energetic, be confident in front of large crowd and perform well known party dances .

Technical Team

Members of the Tech Team will jointly be responsible for installing, rigging and running all lighting and sound on the main stage, making sure all is safe and keeping to H&S Guidelines. Also to manage multiple PA systems located in different areas of the site. Members should be technically minded, have worked in this area before and be able to work in a team.

General Entertainment Duties

This job is an important role to help ensure the entertainment programme runs as smoothly as possible. Members must be able to step in to any role if needed including running quizzes, karaoke, darts competitions etc with leaders, to running the mocktail bar or marshalling.

MEDIA

Photography Team Member

To record the memories and adventures of the event by snapping photos across the full weekend as directed by the Photo Team Leader. Must be willing to bring your own equipment (Digital SLR) and go the extra mile to get the best possible photographs from the event.

Newspaper Team Member

To gather exciting and interesting stories from across the site and write articles for the daily camp news paper as directed by the News Team Leader. High Computer, Literacy and Design Skills are required along with being a good team player and able to speak and deal with young people confidently.

Social Media Team Member

To manage and update the Marra Camp social media outlets including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Work with the other subteams to share content and important information, along with generating new content and stories from across the programme and site.

PR Team Member

To manage all external press regarding the event and any on site press visitors. Update and manage Social Networking Sites along with the Marra Camp Website. Pick Key Stories from the weekend to add to the website along with producing pre and post event Press Releases working with the Media & Communications Manager.

ADMINISTRATION

Deputy Admin Manager

To assist and deputise for the Event Control Manager, ensuring the Event Control Office is running smoothly and tasks are complete as required. Need excellent communication skills.

Office Administrators

To work in the Event Control Office completing various duties such as booking groups in on the Friday evening and the Day Visitors on the Sunday handing out packs, dealing with final booking issues, answering enquiries. Need excellent communication skills, also Excel and Word experience would be good, but not essential. Need to be organised and work as part of a team. Reporting to the Event Control Manager and ideally available to be on site from 24/5/18-28/5/18.

RETAIL

Catering Team Leader

Co-Ordinates the staff catering menu for the camp during the event. Manages the production and serving of each meal with assistance from the catering team. Ensures all dietary requirements are met and feeds all costs, supplies and equipment requirements into the Commercial Manager.

Catering Assistant

Assists in the production and serving of all meals throughout the event and any other tasks designated by the Catering Team leader. Is able to be available for both early morning and evening shifts to accomodate the preperation and clean up of each meal.

Tuck Shop Team Leader

Manages the Tuck Shop provision on site including stock requirements and cash flow. Works with Commercial Manager to order stock and manages the staffing of the Tuck Shop.

Tuck Shop Assistant

Ensures all customers of the Tuck Shop are met with friendly, effective service, must be confident in handling money.

Cafe Team Leader

Manages the cafe area with assistance from the cafe team. Ensures all dietary requirements are met and feeds all costs, supplies and equipment requirements into the Commercial Manager.

Cafe Assistant

Ensures all customers of the Cafe are met with friendly, effective service, must be confident in handling money.

Bar Supervisor

Ensures the bar area is stocked and clean ready for each evening's service. Ensures all patrons are 18+ and manages the team of bar staff effectively.

Bar Staff

Ensures all customers of the Cafe are met with friendly, effective service and works to ensure that all patrons are 18+, must be confident in handling money.

ACTIVITIES

Discovery Zone Staff

To work within the Discovery Zone running a number of different activity bays including crafts, experiments and hands on activities.

Shooting Instructor

To help over the weekend instructing and running the rifle shooting range. Please only apply for this position if you have the relevant NSRA certificate.

Archery Instructor

To help over the weekend instructing and running the archery range. Please only apply for this position if you have the relevant qualifications/certificate.

Abseiling, Climbing & Crate Stacking Instructor

To instruct Abseiling, Climbing and Crate Stacking on our tower. Strong experience of be-laying required. Staff will need to fit harnesses, hats and safety brief young people as required.

Backwoods Cooking

To volunteer as a staff member to work with the activity team in providing Backwoods Cooking. Including gathering produce/equipment in advance and running the activity across the weekend.

Fire Lighting

To volunteer as a staff member to work with the activity team in providing Firelighting. Including gathering equipment in advance and running the activity across the weekend.


Bush Craft

To volunteer as a staff member to work with the activity team in providing Backwoods Cooking. Including gathering equipment in advance and running the activity across the weekend.

Rope Making

To volunteer as a staff member to work with the activity team in providing Rope Making. Including gathering equipment in advance and running the activity across the weekend.

Tommahawks

To run the Tommahawk range across the weekend, ensuring the activity runs smoothly and safely. Previous experience is good but not essential as training can be given.

Climbing Wall/Abseiling Staff

To help on the climbing and abseiling towers, putting harnesses on, delivering safety briefings and managing the ques around this area.

Grass Sledging

To volunteer as a staff member to work with the Activity team in running Glass Sledging over the weekend. Equipment provided.

Exchange Activity

We are looking to recruit a team to manage and run our exchange activity for Pirate Marra 2018. The "Trading Post" at Wild West Marra was a huge success and we would like to repeat the activity with a fresh new Pirate look for 2018.

We are looking for a team leader and a team to prepare and operate the activity for the whole weekend including the decoration, purchase of items and promotion of the activity through the event.
