Marni Manegre is a Full-Time Lecturer in the Department of English and German Studies (DEAA) at the Universitat Rovira I Virgili (URV). She received her doctorate from the Department of Pedagogy, Education and Technology, Computer Assisted Language Learning at the URV, Tarragona, Spain. She completed both her Master of Science and Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada.
Dr. Manegre's research interests are in the areas of online language learning, mobile-assisted language learning (MALL), collaborative digital language learning, AI in language education, ecolinguistics, child language and cognitive development, neurolinguistics, and intercultural competence in language learning environments. She is the co-chair of the MALL SIG with EUROCALL and is on the editorial board of the ReCALL Journal, along with being a regular reviewer for several other CALL, linguistics, and education journals.
She lectures in the following courses: Reading and Writing I & II, and she formerly taught Business English, Intercultural Communications & Management, Research Methods, Strategies for Teaching English to Children, Analysis of English Texts II and English Speaking and Listening I.
Dr. Manegre previously worked as a Senior Manager, Territory Manager, and Digital Solutions Consultant in advertising in Western Canada with organizations such as Yellow Media Inc., Kijiji Autos (eBay), ADP Dealer Services, Cobalt/CDK, and ReachLocal.
