Parachute
Try an at-home version of a kindergarten favorite -- the parachute. I doubt many families have a parachute at home (I know I don't), so use a pillowcase, a towel, a sheet or a blanket. You'll also need a small ball (like a nerf ball) and at least one family member/partner. Watch the video and follow along. (Warning: I sing our parachute song and I am NOT a singer.)
Balloon Bump
If you have a supply of balloons at home, blow one up. Practice bumping it in the air. Don't let it fall to the floor. Now, try bumping it back and forth with a partner.
Shooting Showdown
You will need: 1) paper wadded up into a ball; 2) a shoebox or bowl. Stand approximately six feet back from the box/bowl. Try tossing your paper ball into the box. If you play with a partner, first one to 10 wins. If you are playing by yourself, try to make 10 "baskets".
Freeze Dance
Let's celebrate the new month with some Freeze Dancing. You can do this inside or outside. Have someone at home turn on your favorite music and then start and stop it. Dance around, but be sure to freeze like a statue when the music stops. Have fun!
