I LOOK AT FLOWERS AS ABSTRATIONS, YET I ALSO TRY TO MAKE THEM PERSONAL, AS IF I AM SEEING THEM FOR THE FIRST TIME. FOR ME, I TRY TO FIND THEIR UNIQUENESS, AS THEY CAN BECOME ENTIRE UNIVERSES WITH THEIR OWN GRAVITY SYSTEMS. NO, I AM NOT A GARDNER.
MANY TIMES, THE SURFACE TEXTURES TAKE ON A LIFE OF THEIR OWN, THE KIND THAT MANY AN ABSTRACT EXPRESSIONIST WOULD DREWL OVER. THAT'S ALMOST WHAT IS SO ENCHANTING, IT'S ALMOST LIKE YOU HAVE TWO DIFFERENT PIECES. PS: IT TOOK ME YEARS TO DEVELOP THIS STYLE.

As a commission, flowers became a nice surprise. I had no intention of ever making any. I had no idea that they could be this fun in doing them, yet Deniese Bibro asked me if I had any, so I whipped these up at the height of Covid. People have been asking me to do these for years now.
