Concessions

The Concessions fundraiser is not a typical fundraiser. Rather, it is a volunteer opportunity that allows people to raise money for our MHS Music Program as well as earn a little income to use towards a Music Trip or to pay off fees associated with one of the MHS Music Ensembles. The Marion Music Boosters run concession stands for Football, Volleyball, Basketball, and Wrestling. Anyone can sign-up to help as long as they are in 8th Grade or older. Students are not allowed to handle money working in one of the windows but can work in one of the food preparation areas. Be sure to sign-in when you arrive and sign-out when you leave. Each hour you work is converted into a "point" which can later be redeemed for money applied to your Music Trip or a check paid to the high school to cover music fees. In order to sign-up for events, follow the directions below:

1. Go to Charms, at this link https://www.charmsoffice.com/charms2/login.asp

2. Click on the "parents/students" tab and use the school code (case sensitive) MarionHSMusic to log in.

3. Click on the Public Calendar to see events. Events with a colorful hand (that kind of looks like a turkey) are the events that need volunteers.

4. Click on the "hand/turkey" for the event you are interested in working. A list of volunteer positions will appear. Sign-up in blank spaces.

5. If you have difficulties, need to change your position, or would just prefer to have the Volunteer Chair sign you up, contact Meegan Dyrland at mdyrland@marion-isd.org or 319-550-1130.
