MARINE PARK CAMPGROUND
GUEST GUIDE
Welcome to Marine Park Campground, and thank you for choosing to stay with us. We are currently in the process of developing this on-line guide to help guests get the most out of their visit here. Basic features include essential campground FAQs with a list of area attractions, calendar of events, and maps that will eventually be expanded to include both a business directory and library of information on local geology, history and other topics. Comments and suggestions for additions warmly welcomed!
THIS MONTH IN THE CAMPGROUND
JANUARY 2026
MAIN CAMPGROUND OPEN
RESTROOM/SHOWER/RV DUMP/WATER AT SITES #5-#12 UNAVAILBLE THROUGH 4/30/26
SITES 15/16 WITH HOOKUPS TO POWER ONLY.
January brings cold weather, cloudy skies, rain and even the occasional snow to the campground: a perfect time for the introverts - or those just needing to recharge after the hustle/bustle of the holiday season - book a night or two on the river under the pines.
In town, things are quieter and more relaxed, too.
Thunder Island Brewing features live music on the first Monday of each month as well as a series of community fund & fund-raising every other Wednesday.
Gorges at the other end of town features a full bar, innovative menu and one of the best views of the mountains, river and bridge from their third floor dining room.
For those more interested in dark, rustic charm than big mountain views, Whiskey Flats located in the center of town fits the bill with its hand-crafted root and ginger beers, reasonably priced smash burgers and tummy-filling baskets of their signature fries, tots and hand-cut chips - the building, one of the oldest on main street, has a history as colorful as the hand-painted murals that decorate its dining area: don't forget to ask about the ghost reputed to haunt the one-time bordello on the second floor!
Buddy's located across is now offering pizza to keep everyone in the family fully charged for an afternoon of vintage video game plan, evening of karaoke, or whole day spent just hanging out with friends watching the game on the big screen.
And don't forget to start or end your day with a long-soak at one of the two hot spring resorts located just across the river in North Bonneville (west) and Carson (east). Day and one-to-two hours passes are available. Visit their websites for details.
