Welcome to Our New Home

After years of planning and a lot of mud on our boots, a "new day is dawning" for the Marine Nature Study Area. Our brand-new, 2,600-square-foot state-of-the-art interpretive center is officially open and ready for action.

We didn't just rebuild after Superstorm Sandy; we evolved. This new facility is a open and designed to be flood-resilient and handicap-accessible. It’s a literal "rebirth" since its original opening in 1970.

What’s New Inside?

• Interactive Educational Displays: High-tech, hands-on exhibits that bring the complex world of the salt marsh to life. COMING SOON LATE 2026

• Modern Classroom: A spacious, all-weather learning hub where students from kindergarten to college can conduct research, rain or shine.

• The Observation Deck: For the best seat in the house, head up to the deck for "unparalleled views" of the entire 52-acre preserve.
