The Mangroves

Mangrove swamps fall into the family of estuaries, which are environments that serve as spawning and nursery grounds for many fish and shellfish. Mangroves are a tropical type of estuary and are characterized by several species of salt-tolerant trees. The biggest mangrove area is located in Florida, known as the Florida Everglades National Park. Mangroves are found all over the world, but they all have very similar climates. The average temperature of Mangrove Swamps is 75F and the average precipitation is between 1000 and 1500 mm every year.
