Camas City Council, Ward 1, Position No. 2
Thank you for visiting. I am Marilyn Dale-Boerke, a longtime Camas resident, dedicated public servant, and current City Council Member running for re-election to continue serving the community I love.
With over three decades of experience in education, community leadership and City of Camas Government, I bring a steady hand and a heart for service. Whether in the classroom, City Hall, or on the board of a local nonprofit, I have always led by listening first. My focus remains on smart growth, community connection, and ensuring Camas remains a welcoming place for families, businesses, and individuals from all walks of life.

Together, let us keep Camas thriving.
With gratitude,
Marilyn Boerke
Marilyn is an experienced public servant, educator, and community leader with a career spanning more than 45 years in key roles across education, civic engagement, government and nonprofit service. As a current Camas City Council Member and former school principal, Marilyn has demonstrated a consistent commitment to equity, thoughtful governance, and collaborative problem-solving. Her background includes executive leadership in school administration, board service with local and regional organizations, and recognition at both state and national levels for her contributions to education and public service. Marilyn brings a strategic mindset, a deep understanding of community needs, and a steady approach to decision-making that reflects her dedication to building a connected, inclusive, and thriving Camas.
Having participated in and enjoyed the Camas Days Parade for the past 35 years, it was an honor for Marilyn to have her own "float" this year. This region-wide celebration brings us all together to remember what we love about Camas: Our vibrant small-town feel, our support of the arts and our local merchants, and honoring our heritage and history as an historic "mill town."
Marilyn has held numerous leadership roles in city government. As a current Camas City Council member, she chairs committees and guides policy with a steady, inclusive approach. She serves as President of the Downtown Camas Association, has served as Vice President and President of the Camas Washougal Community Chest, and has been a national leader with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP). Her leadership is rooted in listening, collaboration, and a deep commitment to community-driven solutions.
With over three decades in education, Marilyn has worked as a secretary, coach, teacher, career counselor, principal, and district leader. She has been recognized as Associate Principal and Principal of the Year in Western Washington and was named a finalist for National Teacher of the Year by ACTE. She holds a doctorate-level education (Ed.D. ABD), a master’s in educational leadership, and a bachelor’s in science, all earned with honors.
