You Can't Have It Both Ways
Should Margaret be "messing around" with the Bell Tower's work procedures in the housekeeping department? Why or why not?
If they keep messing around with the work procedures they can over work themselves in a short amount of time and the quality of service will decrease. If they have concerns about the procedures, they should think about the pros and cons of the situation. It should not only be about the quality of work but also the thought of giving time to do certain things. Messing with the work procedures also messes with the employees mind and makes them over work themselves just to finish on time.
How Do We Know Who Works When?
What should Josie and Johnny do as they develop the new employee scheduling process?
They should make it fair to the employees. They should give their employees options on their work schedule. Such as letting them choose their schedule for the week and improve flexibility. They should also give them better child care options so they can be able to keep their job at the Steak House. Thinking about the employees needs is something that should come first because they can't keep their employees if they're just thinking about getting work done and not the employees health.
What policy topics should be addressed as the new employee scheduling system is implemented?
Some policies that should be used is to call in a few hours before their shift or even a day or two so they can have time to fill in the empty work shift. They should also add a certain amount of vacation days per month or year. Adding more policies will help the Steak House run smoothly throughout the yea and will help attract more workers and customers.

It's not the way they said it would be
1. Do you think it is unusual for there to be a disconnect between what a human resources department says will happen for a new employee and what actually happens?
I feel that it is not the HR Manager's fault because they do not know what happens in other departments.
2. What procedures should be used to properly orient and train new employees to the organization and their position?
Onboarding
I already know how to do that!
1. What, if anything, should Erika do about the fact that Ricardo is not following the restaurant's standard operating procedures?
Erika should bring it up to his supervisor and have him talk to Ricardo about his responses.
2. What should Jack, Ricardo's supervisor, do?
Jack should educate Ricardo himself so Ricardo can have a better understanding of what Erika stated.
