20/03/2023 – 30/07/2023 – Remote

STUDENT INTERN – STOCKHOLM ENVIRONMENT INSTITUTE TALLINN

NetZero cities - developing an online dashboard for climate action and investment planning for EU cities, using the Python library Dash for visualisation of both non-spatial emission data and spatial location data.

01/10/2022 – 15/03/2023 – Remote

WORKING STUDENT – CONDATA GMBH

Working student in GIS for the fibre company condata on a part-time basis. Main tasks include updating data files, simplifying and cleaning data as well as writing Python scripts to automise data quality checks.

01/03/2021 – 31/07/2022 – Lund, Sweden

UNIVERSITY RESEARCH ASSISTANT – LUND UNIVERSITY

Continued work on Bachelor thesis project exploring the role of climate drivers, management and age structure in tree mortality using a different version of the process-based vegetation model LPJ-GUESS. The study was published as a research letter in the journal Environmental Research Letters in October 2022 titled Increased Central European forest mortality explained by higher harvest rates driven by enhanced productivity.

01/06/2021 – 31/07/2021 – Lüneburg, Germany

FIELD ASSISTANT – LEUPHANA UNIVERSITY

IAESTE internship to assist a project of the POEM research group (PriOrity Effect Mechanisms) investigating the plant order of arrival effects on ecosystem processes. Sampled and processed field data, including soil core sampling, root washing and sorting, biomass harvest, sampling of species individuals for DNA extraction and LAI measurements.

01/01/2020 – 01/06/2021 – Lund, Sweden

UNIVERSITY RESEARCH ASSISTANT – LUND UNIVERSITY

Processing soil samples and tree litter samples from a Swedish spruce forest for the Integrated Carbon Observation System (ICOS) Research Station Hyltemossa, Sweden.

01/06/2019 – 20/08/2019 – Hyltemossa, Sweden

FIELD ASSISTANT – ICOS HYLTEMOSSA

Assisted in various measurements related to ecosystem-atmosphere interactions in a spruce forest. Those included measuring LAI, sampling biomass, sorting litter and soil samples and measuring soil gas fluxes with chambers. Also conducted BVOC measurements to evaluate the effect of bark beetles on spruce trees for a PhD thesis.
