Our project theme was "Commuting". Jaime, Angela, Lyna, and I worked collaboratively to create an iMovie which captured the different places and ways we travel. In creating our group video, we used the Insta360 camera, GoPro, iDJ 4 Drone, phone camera, and green screen. Each of us was responsible for capturing footage on our own time and also meeting during class for group footage and editing. While using the 360 camera we discovered the app's tutorial button and quickly learned the tiny planet, sphere, time lapse, drone effect, and paper plain view. The GoPro also had different time lapse setting that made the driving commute view smoother. The drone was probably the trickiest technology to figure out. As fun as it was to control, one needs enough time practicing maneuvering it in order to get the smooth video effect.
Once we decided which footage made the cut and uploaded them into iMovie, the tedious work involved in editing began. More time was allotted to editing than we initially planned. We were able to add text to our video, split and freeze frames, and slow down the time lapse. The green screen app we used was Ink Do. Each member contributed with footage, acting performances, ideas, and/or editing. We collaborated well as a group using each person's strengths and creativity to add that special pizazz to the video.
