Design a pen and pencil holder using fusion and fabricate it using 3D printer
This design from google inspires me
It is simple, can stand on a flat surface, can hold many pens at a time, and the design is like a robot and cool.
Software:
Fusion 360 ( To design)
Prusa slicer software (To Slice)
Machine: Prusa
Material: PLA
1- Draw a circle on XY plan with 100mm diameter
2- Construct offset plan 20mm away from the circle
3- Draw a 70mm diameter circle on the offset plan
4- Loft between the circles
5- Extrude upper plan with (Join) 100mm
6- Shell the upper surface 3mm
7- Draw 2 circles and a rectangle on the front
8-Extrude (Cute) the 2 circles and the rectangle
9- Fillet the edge
10- From appearance add a color
11- Save as STL
12- Open STL in prusa slicer
13- Scale to minimize time and grams
14- Check if there is any overhang perimeter
15- Add supports (for support enforces only)
16- Export G-Code
17- Edit and minimize the rectangle because of the overhanging
18- export stl file
19- slicing and check overhanging in Prusa
20- Export G-code
1- Preheat
2- Load filament
3- If the color is clear press >> yes
4- Load the SD card which includes the G-Code file
5- Select the file
6- Run
I asked my instructor about how these ideas are good to fabricate, how to design, peers also gave suggestions.
The 2 other designs I mentioned in the previous questions couldn't be made with more than 2 tools that we learned this week so I choose the design I made because I used more tools to design it.
The rectangle was overhung in Prusa so I minimized its size
Maybe I can fabricate some parts in the robotic arm with 3D printing that I can't make with the lasercut
3D design is really cool, I enjoyed learning it.
