A body detection inversion effect revealed by a large-scale inattentional blindness experiment. Cognition (2025)
Male and Female bodies from the Paper: Asymmetric Visual representation of sex from human body shape published in Cognition.

The set includes: 1) Profile and frontal body silhouettes.
2) Profile and frontal silhouettes matched for homogeneity between male and female shape using the GIST algorithm.
3) Curvatureless iconic bodies.
4) Natural body photos matched for spatial frequency and luminosity using SHINE.
Stimulus set from "Predictive Processing of scene layout depends on naturalistic depth of field", published in Psychological Science.
In this project we provide images of outdoor scenes matched for image content and viewing distance differing in focus (background or foreground) and depth of field (Shallow - Deep).

This is a stimulus set used in Gandolfo and Downing, 2020 - Cognition and Emotion; and more recently in Gandolfo, D'Argenio, Downing, and Urgesi 2024 (bioRxiv).
These are photographs of emotional body expressions (4 different identities per emotion; 2 males/ and 2 females) validated to be recognizable in both of these dimensions.
We have 4 different emotions: Angry, Sad, Happy, and Fear.
All of the pictures are available in this repository: https://osf.io/mtxfw/
