~An Editorial Collaboration
On St. Patrick's Day, many people try to catch the leprechaun to steal his gold. I asked the other student newspaper editors if they thought that people should try to catch the leprechaun or do something nice for him on St. Patrick's Day. Here is what they said:
I would personally create an amusement park for the leprechaun to enjoy instead of making a trap for him because I believe that after a long night of avoiding traps, he would want to have fun. I'd even give him some coins in case anyone stole some of his gold. ~Elbie T.
I think that your amusement park is a great idea! I never thought about it before, but it is kind of rude to trap someone for their money! ~Charlie G.
I think that making an amusement park would help the leprechaun relax, and trapping someone for money is basically showing that you're greedy just for money. ~Nameera A.
Trapping someone for their money ( even if they're not really a human ) is super-rude, and I'm sure that he worked very hard to get his gold. He probably needs that money to survive. Also, the amusement park is a really good idea to apologize on behalf of other people who tried to steal his money. ~Axana S.
