Indispensable for the production of low-carbon electricity, it is a common good used by many: local authorities, farmers, industrialists, fishermen, tourists and sportsmen, including canoeists. This sporting discipline has a strong link with our hydropower activity. Indeed, our production activities influence river flows when we operate dams and other hydraulic equipment used to produce hydroelectricity, the first of the renewable energies, and contribute to the success of this event, powered by water releases from the Montpezat-sous-Bauzon hydroelectric complex on the Fontaulière and the Salelles plant on the Chassezac.” Xavier DELORME Director EDF Hydro Loire Ardèche.
