Le Marathon des Gorges de l'Ardèche : an adventure not to be missed !
It's on the 7th and 8th November 2025, that the 41st edition of this iconic event will take place.
Whether in a kayak, canoe, pirogue, C9 or on a stand up paddle, it'll be your opportunity to paticipate and accept the challenge of this legendary descent. The race that allows paddlesports enthausiasts, of all levels, to paddle the length of the majestic Gorges of the Ardèche. 34 km or 27 km depending on your chosen category.
An internationally acclaimed event, it brings together accomplished champions and passionate novices to brave the rapids of the Ardèche Gorges.
In a unique atmosphere, passing through the exceptional setting of the nature reserve, some aim for victory and the fastest time, while others are participating for the sheer thrill and pleasure of taking part.
What is the greatest charm of this marathon ? The spectacle of hundreds of boats racing together down the Ardèche gorges, being totally immersed by the surrounding nature. This race combines the contrast of the serenity of the spectacular landscape, with the intensity of a unique competition, sought after by some, but seen as a convivial challenge by others. An atmosphere where performance and conviviality come together. And, to crown the experience, there is a festive atmosphere throughout, with evening meals and concerts. Where racers, spectators and locals come together to share unique moments.
