THE WARM-UP
Before the big departures, there is already euphoria with the Pont d'Arc Rush. A sprint to reach the iconic Pont d'Arc from the start of the marathon. This format allows you to fine-tune the final adjustments for the next day. Over 4 km, you will have time to do a final warm-up and spot the first rapids. Open from 13 years old, the race is safe on the key rapids. An excellent warm-up for the next day's great adventure!
The finish is on land : you will have to capsize to get out of the boat and sprint to the finish line, to the encouragement of the public.
Kayak, canoe and stand-up paddle: this is the only race where all the boats, single or double, compete on the same section of the river. Departures are every 5 minutes, by category. A fun event is guaranteed on the Pont d'Arc beach, with a closely contested race right up to the last minute, providing a great opportunity to put on a show for the crowd.
"It allows us to test the start and, with a shorter format, a sprint with a slightly original finish on land." Luis Brisson, event manager.
