Hello! I'm Mohammad Arafat

Currently pursuing my PhD at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia. My PhD research focuses on the noise generation mechanisms of bio-inspired propellers, alongside interests in computational fluid dynamics, high-speed trains, and aerodynamics.

Arafat completed his Bachelor of Engineering degree from Telkom University in 2019 with the most outstanding graduate award. During his bachelor studies, he worked as Research Assistant in Inspira Automation Laboratory.

This study investigates the aerodynamic effects of bio-inspired propeller modifications, including leading-edge (LE), trailing-edge (TE), and boundary-layer trips (BL), both individually and in combination. This book chapter discusses the effects of wind loads from different yaw angles on the flow behavior around the train model. The findings indicate that at higher yaw angles (45° and 60°), the velocity streamlines and vortex formations become significantly more complex and unsteady compared to lower yaw angles (15° and 30°), with the vortex length in the wake decreasing and the vortex width on the train's leeward side increasing as the yaw angle increases.
