For the best experience, we recommend hiring a guide during your visit. If you are interested in birdwatching, we can arrange a professional birding guide with the necessary equipment. If butterflies are your main interest, we can arrange a specialist who can help you find, identify, and photograph the hundreds of species found here. Our guides are invaluable for spotting wildlife and sharing their detailed knowledge of local plants and insects. Please let us know when you make your reservation so that we can arrange a guide in advance.

Jungle Safari: Monkeys, Macaws and Hoatzins (Full Day)

We take a boat into the magnificent Manu Biosphere Reserve in search of Amazonian birds and other wildlife. We then hike the trails to discover the local fauna before taking a traditional raft onto an oxbow lake.

Mysterious Hinkiori Petroglyphs (Half Day)

The route offers panoramic views of the Andes. The petroglyphs comprise 22 symbolic figures and are deeply respected by the Wachiperi people. They are carved into a huge rock in the middle of the forest on the left bank of the Pillcopata River. Here, you can enjoy an optional swim before lunch, surrounded by beautiful scenery and wildlife.

Huacaria Indigenous Community (Full Day)

A visit to the Huacaria Indigenous Community is an opportunity to learn about living in harmony with nature - something the community has practised for generations. During a forest walk, community members share their ancestral knowledge of medicinal plants, traditional crafts, and local foods. If the weather is suitable, we can swim in the Huacaria River. We then return to the lodge. An optional night walk is also available.
