Currently, I am a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Padua's Department of Linguistic and Literary Studies. From 2021 to 2025, I was a University Assistant at the Institute of Translation Studies in Graz. Before that, I attended the master's in Specialized Translation and Language Industry at the Center of Translation Studies of the University of Vienna.
My background is in Media Studies, Foreign Languages (with focus on literature), and Translation Studies. I am also passionate about gender studies, linguistics and machine translation.
In my doctoral thesis, I studied how professional translators apply gender-fair language (both in translation and post-editing) in German to represent non-binary individuals. My research also focuses on the socio-technical implications of gender bias in machine translation.
