The Rejang Beuh, also known as the Eagle Dance or Belangi dance, is a traditional dance from the Bidayuh tribe of Sarawak, Malaysia:
According to folklore, the gods of the sky instructed Madu Sawan, a hero, to fight the Spirit Eagle, Tingkilang Ramang, to determine who would marry the King's daughter, Dara Buda.
The dance is often performed after the harvest season to entertain guests at the longhouse. Dancers imitate the movements of an eagle in flight by stretching their arms out wide. The dance is accompanied by drums, gongs, and small bells that hang from the dancers' ankle bangles. Male and female dancers wear necklaces made of wild boar tusks.
