The Sri Sangameswara Temple of Cholangi, located in Nandyal district on the banks of the Krishna River, is a remarkable ancient Shiva temple with immense historical and spiritual significance. According to tradition, this temple was originally built at the confluence of the Krishna and Tungabhadra rivers during ancient times.

Built in the Nagara style of architecture, the shrine stands on an elevated platform and is enclosed by a protective compound wall. A spacious hall supported by 12 pillars

A circumambulatory passage (Pradakshina patha)

Stone sculptures of Nagarjuna, Vishnu, Brahma, Kumara Swamy, Yama, Harihara, Ardhanarishwara, and Ganesha

Crocodile carvings positioned at all four corners of the structure
