Magic Matters Tour .. moving on
Well... the 2019 election did not go nearly as i had planned, but am planning to roll straight into the next round. Funny how sometimes when things don't seem to be going at all like you want, they can go better than you dreamed if you don't let the left hooks get you down.
I did try a couple of door knocking in my neighborhood. Some are so friendly! Some are busy and want to just carry on with their days as they have planned. One was busy drinking with his friends and suggested he would be throwing his cans at me if i stayed much longer! He had a few friends sitting with him on the driveway who were smiling as he made his comments. One offered to throw his bottle too. I didn't take them too seriously, a simple no thanks would have been respected as much, but i really do understand. On the other hand, i do know many would like an opportunity to say something/ ask but more on their schedule. It is for this reason i was very disappointed that my election website was not put up. I had put it in with my nomination papers. I will just add more to it and roll it into the next one. I want to start sooner than later and include an offer to join me while cleaning up garbage in different places around the community. I thought i would reach out to see who wants to meet and what street first. I think that is a better use of time and could get some real positive conversations going. I was thinking it may even include some kind of food and drink for participants after too.. maybe a vegetarian potluck style where i supply some chili or some other simple food.
I thought it would be fun to invite some businesses and individuals to sponsor them. This will be a part of the bicentennial project that i made and wrote a bit about on the first page . I am thinking a minimum $200 to be an official sponsor.. (bi centennal and all!) if this is at all interesting, please email me back. Have been promoting a park and school for peace for a few years now. Will work to launch a Magic Matters tour this year with stints around and out of the Okanagan where we can swap some songs and stories about pets and community. World pace to World Peace.. that was quite a shock to find out I was inducted into the Canada West Sports Hall of Fame.. but working on a much brighter future for more people that does not involve running. I was once sponsored federally for my running but feel my speaking singing for peace, and community are worth much more.
