There is one application for semester programs managed by Gies Global Programs. You can rank up to 10 programs on your application. Click the link above to apply in My Study Abroad.

Deadline:

• Fall Semester: February 1st 

• If ranking both Fall and Spring options on application: February 1st

• Spring Semester :

  • Spring only (Early Access): February 1st

  • Additional rounds: June 15th and September 1st

  • Any remaining spots for Spring programs after the February 1st deadline will be open for the June 15th deadline. If available, they will also be open for the September 1st deadline.

• Note: Study abroad slots for each location are given out first in the Fall. Any remaining slots will be given in the Spring semester. If location is your top priority, we recommend applying for the Fall semester.

Alliance Manchester Business School Requirements:

• Must be a Gies Business major or minor

• Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0

• Completed at least one year of course work on the UIUC campus (or one semester for off campus transfer students)

• Strongly recommended that seniors (in either of the final 2 semesters) not participate because graduation will be delayed

After you are accepted and commit to Manchester:

You will receive an e-mail from Manchester with the application instructions and the exact due date after Gies Global Programs nominates you to Manchester. Nominations are made in early March for fall participants and early October for spring participants. Manchester will send the email in April for fall participants and spring participants will receive an email within two weeks of nominations. You should complete the application as soon as possible to ensure it is submitted by the application deadline. You may need to bring the application to 2019 BIF or email it to studyabroad@business.illinois.edu to have it signed by the Gies Global Programs office. More information can be found here.
