Venturers take on a programme of achievement, leadership and fun where they get to carve their own path to success. Venturers is totally youth led and adult supported where the venturers get to choose what they do! From bike rides into town for Gelato, to games nights at the Hall, outings to popular activities in Christchurch and overnight activities!

Venturers enjoy a carefree program where what they put in is what they get out of it! Venturers also get the opportunity to go to more local, national and international events. From Venture, World Scout Jamboree, National Schools and Mudbash they get to experience it all!

Venturers also get the opportunity to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Hillary Award programme where they can cross credit activities from their scouting award scheme towards this. This is an opportunity that not all youth can have access and support to and is a great opportunity for our youth to further develop their skills.

Venturers are encouraged to take part in a process called "Plan, Do, Review" which is a model originally lead by Scouts Australia that New Zealand has adopted into its programme. This allows the venturers to plan their term programme, action their term programme and then review the term programme so that the learnings may be reflected n the next term's programme. This allows venturers to develop skills to use in life as they will use this process all the time without even knowing it.
