The aim is to use sustainable materials in order to minimize the carbon footprint of the building.

The structure of the house will consists of timber posts and beams (e.g. solid timber, GLULAM, LVL). 

A ventilated rainscreen will protect the wall structure from the weather. It will consist of either vertical wooden slats or panels (e.g. Bamboo, Rockpanel).

The roof surface will be lightweight recycled material (e.g. xxx)

The foundation will, dependent on the soil structure, consists of either galvanized screw piles or small concrete piers.
