Narita Shrine
Narita is famous for the New Tokyo International Airport and is visited by many people, but it is also a tourist destination that surprisingly not so many people have visited. Narita is a city of religion and is home of one of the most famous temples in Kanto-area, Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple. Shinsho-ji Temple was built in the 10th century in hopes of quelling the rebellion of Taira no Masakado. The temple was named Shinsho-ji (New Winning) after the victory in the battle against Masakado.
After a brief lunch following the morning lecture, we will head to Narita Station. Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple is about a 20-minute walk from the station. We need about 2500 JPY for transport.
