Internal Compliant Committee (ICC) / Cell Against Sexual Harassment (CASH)

The Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) / Cell Against Sexual Harassment (CASH) of the Malda College was constituted in the academic year 2017-2018 with the purpose of look after and for the redressal of complaints made by students/employees and ensure time bound treatment of the complaints as provided in the Act. In case of any complaint, a student or an employee of the college may contact with the committee members mentioned below.

Objectives:

1. To build self-esteem and dignity among girl students and ladies faculty members.

2. To offer service such as counseling, legal aid in the case of atrocities against women.

3. To create awareness regarding women rights.

4. To avoid and prohibit sexual harassment at the workplace.

5. To arrange programs regarding health, personality development etc.

6. To record and document the minutes of meetings and annual reports.

Sexual Harassment means:

An act of Sexual Harassment at the workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act.2013,includes any one or more of the unwelcome acts or behavior, whether directly or by implication.

Physical Contact and advances.

A demand or request for sexual fevours.

Making sexual coloured remarks.

Showing pornography.

Any unwelcome physical, verbal or non-verbal conduct of sexual nature.

The following circumstances, among other circumstances, if it occurs or are present in relation to connected with any act or behavior of sexual harassment may also amount to sexual harassment.

Acknowledgment

To investigate your complaint, it will be necessary to interview you, the alleged harasser(s), and any witnesses with knowledge of the allegations or defences. The Collegewill notify all persons involved in the investigation that it is confidential and that unauthorized disclosures of information concerning the investigation could result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. The informationprovided in this complaint is true and correct to the best of my knowledge. I am willing to cooperate fully in the investigation of my complaint and provide whatever evidence theCollegedeems relevant.
