Mohammad M. Alazaizeh is an Associate Professor at the College of Communication and Media Sciences, Zayed University, where he teaches and mentors students in tourism and cultural communication. He has over eight years of academic experience in the field of tourism, with previous positions at the University of Jordan at Aqaba.
Alazaizeh's research focuses on tourism destinations development, planning, and management, using a variety of interdiciplinary research methods. He has published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented his findings at international conferences. He also collaborates with tourism managers and stakeholders to address emerging challenges facing the tourism industry.
As experienced educator, Alazaizeh has taught a variety of courses related to heritage tourism, ecotourism, and sustainable tourism. He is also actively involved in academic service, holding positions on editorial boards and committees for top-tier international tourism and heritage journals. He serves as a Social Media Editor of the Journal of Qualitative Research in Tourism and Editorial Review Board - Associate Editor in Journal of Park and Recreation Administration. He is on the editorial board of the Tourism Management Perspectives journal, Journal of Heritage Tourism, Journal of Ecotourism, International Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Studies and Ottoman: Journal of Tourism and Management Research.
