Malavé Do was started in 2006 by style director and founder Ramon Malavé. Today, the organization consists of eight branches, 20 instructors and assistant instructors, and approximately 500 students.

Each branch is an independent association that falls under the main association Rånäs Hombu dojo. The organization is led by Ramon and his wife Sabine End, but another ten people are involved in board work, marketing and administration.
