Two of my biggest passions in life is animals and drawing. Born into an athletic family, I had always been the odd one out as I always pursued art and drawing throughout my childhood. I find myself constantly drawn to animal portraits in particular which can be seen throughout my artwork however, I do also enjoy colourful flowers and fantasy creatures. Since a very young age, I have always been very curious and fascinated by the art form that is tattooing. The ability to create beautiful and very often meaningful artwork on human skin has always been fascinating to me. When I was eventually old enough to get tattooed myself, I always found it an exciting (even though sometimes painful! ) experience and I do believe that it is an amazing form of self expression for not only the client, but also the tattoo artist. I would love to get my art skills to such a proficient level that I could recreate this experience for other people with my own artwork. Teresa Sharpe, Matt Stebly, Fede Almanzor and Santi Bord just to name a few are tattoo artists that have been a huge inspiration to me, and all have a style I really admire. My favorite style of tattooing is Neotraditional, and is a style I hope to one day be able to learn sufficiently and add my own twist. From this apprenticeship , I hope to continuously grow as an artist and constantly develop my artistic skills, while also learning about what it actually takes to become a tattoo artist , to begin my Tattooing career.
I really believe that as an artist, there is no end goal. There is always room for improvement and there is always so much more that needs to be learned in any artistic field. For me this is simply the beginning of an ongoing journey of my tattooing career.
