Alley Cat Allies is a prominent non-profit organization dedicated to the humane treatment and protection of cats, particularly community cats. Founded in 1990, the organization advocates for public policy reforms that ensure the welfare of all cats, focusing on effective management strategies like Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs. Alley Cat Allies works collaboratively with local communities, shelters, and animal control agencies to promote humane solutions to cat overpopulation and to educate the public about the importance of compassion and respect for all felines. Their mission encompasses raising awareness about the lives of cats, addressing common misconceptions, and supporting programs that improve the lives of cats in urban and rural environments.
The campaign will focus on raising awareness about the humane treatment of community cats and the importance of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs. The aim is to educate the public about the benefits of TNR, debunk myths about feral cats, and encourage communities to adopt humane approaches to cat population management.
The target audience for this campaign includes: Cat lovers, pet owners, community members, animal advocates, volunteers
The goal of this campaign is to engage the community, increase inquiries on the topic of TNR programs, increased donations, and to gain more visitors to our webpage.
This content calendar was made with Canva. The colors used are matched with a calico (light gray, charcoal, orange) which is a cat breed. I thought these colors were most fitting and matched with the organizations theme/brand the most.
Theme: The themes of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) and cat populations stresses the idea that everyone can help improve the lives of neighborhood cats. The campaign invites people to pause, learn, and act compassionately by supporting Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) projects. We encourage people to get engaged by learning more about TNR, sharing campaign materials, joining petitions for TNR-friendly regulations, and making donations to Alley Cat Allies to support current TNR activities.
Success: I'll know the campaign is successful by seeing a marked increase in community engagement and support for TNR initiatives. This will be evident through more social media interactions, higher website traffic, and an uptick in inquiries from individuals wanting to learn about TNR or get involved in their local programs. Additionally, a rise in donations will indicate that supporters are invested in funding humane solutions for cat overpopulation. Success will also be measured by the number of signatures gathered on petitions for TNR-friendly policies, reflecting greater public advocacy for community cats.
