The Maker Challenge is a programme and competition for young people aged 14-18 with a passion for making.
Throughout the programme the participants have had the opportunity to develop an idea and see it through to the design stages with the support of our staff and Imperial students.
They have gained a myriad of skills, including product development, team-building, presenting and problem solving.
Sessions included:
Arduino
Business and Soft Skills
Prototyping
Design Thinking
Electronics
Laser Cutting
3D Printing
We only use software that is freely accessible to students so they can continue to learn at home after the programme ends.
We are particularly impressed with this year's students and would like to thank them for taking part. Not only have they completed the programme in the midst of a pandemic, but they have shown great resilience, commitment and creativity these past months. Congratulations to all!
