The Automatic Plant Watering System is designed to monitor soil moisture and supply water to plants whenever the soil becomes dry. The system uses a soil moisture sensor to continuously measure the moisture level of the soil. The readings are processed by an Arduino UNO, which decides whether the plant needs watering.
A 16×2 LCD display (non-I2C) is used to show the current moisture percentage and the status of the system, such as “Soil Dry,” “Watering,” or “Soil Wet.” When the moisture level falls below the set threshold, the Arduino automatically turns ON the motor pump to supply water to the plant.
A buzzer is included to give an alert when the soil becomes too dry or when the motor is activated. Once the soil reaches a healthy moisture level, the motor turns OFF automatically and the display updates accordingly.
This project provides an efficient and automatic solution for plant care, reducing the need for manual watering and ensuring healthy plant growth.
