ACTIVITIES

This is a series of public lecture where the speakers are invited from Japan and/or any other parts of the world.

This initiative was introduced in 2011 as a means for members to benefit from their MAJAS membership by way of showcasing their expertise to the public and therefore increasing their professional credentials.

This seminar series was first introduced in 2017. This half-day seminar will bring together 4-6 Japan Studies scholars among MAJAS members and non-members to present their research results and share their views on the topics selected.

Objectives of the project are:

(i) to provide a platform to discuss various issues related to Japan;

(ii) to disseminate knowledge within the network of Japan Studies scholars; and

(iii) to foster and strengthen linkages between experts in the field of Japan Studies in Malaysia.

MAJAS occasionally organize special events that bring together all people who have even a slight interest on Japan.
