Since childhood, I have been deeply interested in a number of things outside Academics, including Books, Paintings, Music, Recitation and Table Tennis, and I have received professional training in the last four of them for more than 7 years. From an early age, my mother enrolled me into a Formal School of Hindustani Classical Music and I was fortunate enough to receive training from Smt. Kuhu Ganguli, a renowned singer of Classical music and a direct disciple of Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar . After passing high school, I am receiving tutelage in Rabindrasangeet from Saumit Ray, a well known exponent of Rabindrasangeet. I dream to explore more forms of music one day. Currently, I am into my venture of recording my first Music Video. Also, I am planning to collaborate with my friend Dipayan to do some musical content in his YouTube channel.
In early June this year, I am going to perform on the stage
Apart from these, I am also highly interested in Drama(নাটক in Bengali) and I have witnessed almost 20-25 drama shows during my lifetime. My favourite playwrights include Tagore, Shakespeare, Ibsen. Strindberg.
Though I do not approve the idea of calling me a photographer, I occasionally click photographs, primarily through my mobile phone. I have a huge collection of rare photographs of countless notable historic incidents, landmarks and famous personalities and I hope to share some of them here one day.
Just a small collection, from an avid quote enthusiast :
"...the earth without "art" is just eh!"
"Science is a Differential Equation. Religion is a Boundary Condition."
"The world is what it is, not what you want it to be."
"The World is an infinite sphere with the centre everywhere and circumference no where!"
"Vidi, Vini, Vici!"
"The method of instruction is seldom of much efficacy except in those circumstances when it is almost superfluous."
"Ultimately, whatever happens, happens..."
"The World is what it is, and you are what you are..."
"LET IT BE..."
"Science cannot solve a problem without creating 10 more"
"No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted."
Whatever you can imagine is real...
Time enjoyed wasting is not wasted time...
All you need is love and a bit of encouragement
Papers should include more side remarks, open questions and such. Very often,
these are more interesting than the theorems actually proved. Alas, most people
are afraid to admit that they don't know the answer to some question, and as a consequence
they refrain from mentioning the question, even if it is a very natural one.
Education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel.
Education is not filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.
In the broad light of the day, mathematicians check their equations and their proofs, leaving no stone unturned in their search for rigor. But, at night, under the full moon, they dream, they float among the stars and wonder at the miracle of the heavens. They are inspired. Without dreams, there is no art, no mathematics, no life...
An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes, which can be made, in a very narrow field
Airports have seen more sincere kisses than wedding halls, hospital walls have heard more sincere prayers than temples.
On the scale of science, we are all idiots. Humans learning science is like pigeons learning calculus, it really does not matter if you are pigeon Einstein, the scale of the problem is such that the difference in negligible.
A subgraph is a subgraph of an induced subgraph.
There are no puddles in math, just oceans in disguise....
You don't have to be a mathematician to have a feel for numbers
