Tournament Food

Dining options at USM are limited. There is a small snack bar in Bailey Hall. It is typically closed on Saturday; however, we will ask them to open for our tournament. The snack bar offers hot coffee, soda, and prepackaged snacks, salads, and sandwiches. A larger selection of food - both hot and cold - is available buffet-style at Brooks Dining Hall. Check map on Logistics page to locate Brooks Dining Hall. Breakfast costs about $7 and lunch about $9. The dining hall/cafeteria is open 8:30-6:30 pm. Drop ins are welcome but if you plan to have more than a few students use this option please contact Tadd Stone, General Manager of USM Gorham food services (207-780-5421; https://usm.sodexomyway.com/contact/index). He has asked to be notified in advance if there is going to be an increased demand for food this way the dining hall will be alerted to prepare enough for diners.

Off campus dining options include Amato's, Domino's, Dunkin Donuts, Gorham House of Pizza, Panera, Lucky Thai, Subway, and Hannaford Supermarket.

Regarding teams that wish to sell food on site: Science Olympiad requires that any food sold for purchase at tournaments come from a licensed food vendor (sub shop, pizza vendor, etc) or be commercially prepared, in other words pre-wrapped items like chips, candy, soda, etc.
