In 2024 and due to the accumulations that had been building up in the region since 7 October, Israel launched a war on Lebanon on 27 September 2024 that lasted about two months. And as wars usually are, they come with a lot of destruction and losses of homes and people. For me this was the first war i witness with a full conscious of what war really is, and i didn't want sit without doing any duty towards my country and people, so i took my camera from my home in Beirut southern suburb that was considered an official war zone that had been bombed daily and went to documenting and archiving the damage and destruction that the war had left behind.Â
Below you can find my some of my coverage of the war.

After 66 days the war ended according to a ceasefire that took effect on the morning of 27 November, Lebanese southerners that were displaced from their villages and homes rushed at the same hour the ceasefire took effect back to their hometowns that were mostly destroyed but they insisted to challenge all of that and continue their life in their hometowns despite the danger of being attacked or shot at by the Israeli army or their drones. And that actually happened on the day of the ceasefire were some civilians were killed especially those who lives in the border line villages because the Israeli army didn't allow them. Many of these border villages remained occupied for 60 days more until the Israeli army retrieved out of them letting their people to go in. At that day i went up to these border villages although their were some danger to document the peoples returning.
Below are some photos took in different border villages:

One of the major events of the war was the assassination of "Hezbollah" commander "Hasan Nasrallah". His assassination was the mark of the official war between Lebanon and Israel, he was killed on 27 September by dropping what was estimated nearly 80 Tons of explosives using GPU missiles on a residential bloc in Beirut. At the same night Israel started to send evacuation alerts on building in Beirut. "Hasan Nasrallah" official announcement of his assassination was declared the next day, but due to the war going on his funeral and burying ceremony was postponed until the war was over, were it took place at 23 February 2025.
