My teaching spans undergraduate laboratory courses in oceanography and geology at Vanderbilt and Auburn, a residential summer course I designed for high school students on water quality and public health, and field-based mentoring for undergraduates and visiting researchers at Caney Fork Farms. Across these roles I have led lecture and lab instruction, built course materials from scratch, and run field activities that connect classroom concepts to direct observation.
I completed Vanderbilt's Academy of College Teaching certificate in 2026, formal recognition of my training in evidence-based teaching methods for higher education.
