Effect of neighbour grain constrain on the behaviour of polycrystallaine SMA
This project focuses on the behaviour of polycrystalline SMA. The behaviour can be described by the polycrystal constitutively informed particle dynamics. The CPD is basically a discrete element model, which can describe the ledge motion.
Deformable granular materials
A new model has to be developed to describe the deformation of the grain in granular materials. Specifically, a combination of the granular discrete model and the CPD model. Application of this model can be in particulate shape memory alloys and metal particle behavior in additive manufacturing.
Effect of particle inclusion on the thermal crack response of ceramics
A new discrete model has to be developed to describe the thermal behavior of ceramics. Study the thermal crack response of the ceramics.
