EWS CERTIFICATE


The EWS certificate for those candidates who belong to the economically weaker section in society. It is separated from other backward classes or SC and ST categories. It is a new kind of reservation that falls under the general category. The EWS subcategory is effective from 2019.


Who is eligible for an EWS certificate?


Currently for economically weaker section

Candidate's annual family income must be less than Rs 8 lakhs per Annum. A Person's family must not own more than 5 acres of agricultural land. The residential flat area should be below 1000 sq ft.


Document required for EWS certificate?


  • Aadhar card

  • Income certificate

  • Passport size photograph

  • ID proof ( PAN card, voter ID, etc)

  • Land/ property documents

  • Affidavit/ self declaration form

  • Residential proof/ domicile certificate


What is the validity of an EWS certificate?


The validity for EWS certificates in most of the state is one year.
